My vague sense of this talk is that a necessary condition on being an elementary particle is that there is this sort of associated representation. And I guess your diagram also fits with this way of thinking about the situation. But this doesn&amp;#39;t support any kind of identification or ontic structural realism, I hope!</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9074529824943791718/5620436766485068534/comments/default/4633988964393325907'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9074529824943791718/5620436766485068534/comments/default/4633988964393325907'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.soulphysics.org/2010/02/elementary-particle-is-irreducible.html?showComment=1266971388739#c4633988964393325907' title=''/><author><name>Chris Pincock</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/10838633162146762394</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.soulphysics.org/2010/02/elementary-particle-is-irreducible.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9074529824943791718.post-5620436766485068534' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/9074529824943791718/posts/default/5620436766485068534' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
